Solomon Ports have recently installed and implemented an automated weighing system. It is the first of its kind in the Pacific region. It is a technological advancement that reduces the time for container weighing by over 90%. Accuracy has also increased. The system records the weight accurate to decimals but rounded to a whole number for convenience.
