Solomon Ports and Solomon Islands marked a monumental milestone today with the commissioning of the Millennium Terminal, the largest domestic seaport terminal in the South Pacific. The state-of-the-art facility, which took two years to complete, was officially opened by Prime Minister Jeremiah Manele, who served as the guest of honour and delivered a keynote speech highlighting the terminal’s significance for the nation's development.

Solomon Ports has been honored with the ‘Business Contribution to the Community Award’ during the Solomon Islands Business Excellence Awards (BEA), held on 16th November 2024 in Honiara. Hosted by the Solomon Islands Chamber of Commerce, the award celebrates organizations demonstrating an outstanding, company-wide commitment to positively impacting their local communities.

Solomon Ports (SIPA) is proud to announce the successful implementation of its new Port Terminal Operating System,
‘OCTOPI,’ which went live on the 1st of August 2024. This advanced system marks a significant milestone in the Port’s

Solomon Ports this week welcomed the arrival of three new modern ‘Lashing Cages” at Honiara International Port. This is the first time for SIPA to use such equipment, and the second Port in the Pacific Region to have such equipment
in its operation.

Solomon Ports as part of ensuring proper waste management practices in Honiara , has installed buoys and barriers just outside the Mataniko river mouth, which will extend further across the Honiara Central Market soon. The barriers will be used to trap plastic wastes and rubbish coming out from the Mataniko river and along the Honiara coastline.
